Whats the name of the spell that when casted on someone it shows a purple-ish sword then breaks. I think its a Mesmer spell but i cant seem to find it when i search for in the profession section. Is it also the spell that stops you from moving and attack for a set period of time. I cant remember it to much been trying to search for it.

The spell animation matches Pacifism (A monk spell) as does the not being able to attack, but as far as I know there is no spell in the game that stops you from moving completely.

i think he means empathy i think its purple and could look like a sword i guess ? never really payed attention

It's probobly Empathy and then it's followed up by imagined burden. Empathy makes you take damage when you're attacked, Imagined Burden Slows you WAY down.

Empathy certainly stops ME from attacking. It doesn't make me not attack, but it certainly makes me think twice about hitting anything.

there is a water spell that does this but im not sure on the name.

Edit: the spell is mist form that keeps you from moving. this is not casted on a enemy but yourself and i think it last for 5 - 8 seconds. it makes you invisible

Invincible, not invisible. There is no invisibility in the game.

And it is in effect bit longer.

Iron Mist from the elementalist's earth magic line is a 90% slow, but it makes the target immune to all damage except lightning.
